Natural Hair Styling Application (DOS-1321-a)
People who style hair must obtain this license.Overview
Permit allows an individual to perform services to the hair, head, face, neck and scalp, including shampooing, arranging, cutting, shaving, twisting, weaving and braiding. The license does not permit the application of dyes, reactive chemicals or other preparations to color, straighten or curl hair.
Requirements
1. Must be at least 17 years of age, Always Required2. Proof of Training/Experience, based on education, experience; endorsement or previous NYS licensure.
3. Health Certification Showing Freedom from any Infectious or Communicable Disease, Always Required
